Author Spotlight Carol M Creasey

Carol M Creasey, Murder Mystery and autobiographical author, gave us a few words about her books and inspiration.

What inspires you?

I have been a writer for 31 years. My first book, "MY LIFE IS WORTH LIVING!" was inspired by my son, who was born with many difficulties including autism. It has since become a bestseller, and my publisher then republished it in 2019 in paperback, and in 2020 we won first place in The Reader's Choice Awards.

Since then, I have written 11 more books, including my autobiography Candidly Carol.

Many of my books include at least one character with autism, which I think is important, as not enough credit is given to autistic people, who are very valuable members of society, and can be very inspiring to others.

My latest book "Just One Day" describes the life of an autistic woman, born in the 1960s, who goes on to become a professor, and receives recognition from our late Queen Elizabeth 2nd.

I write in several genres, including crime fiction, and my latest 2 novels have been set on the Kent coast.

"Perfectly Evil" is set on the beach at Herne Bay, where I live, and "Murder at Westgate Bay" is set in the Thanet area. This book became another bestseller for me during the past year, so the sequel, "Murder at the Broadstairs' Funfair" will be out later this year.

What are you currently working on?

My publisher is currently working on the production of "Murder at the Broadstairs' Funfair" The thrilling sequel to "Murder at Westgate Bay" Living in such a beautiful area with, sea and countryside around me inspires me to mention local places in my stories, as I have found that local people love to read about where they live.

Also, people visiting or on holiday will like having a book as a memory of somewhere special which they enjoyed visiting.

All my books are available on Amazon, you can check my website for more details about them.

Carols Books will also be available at the Pop-Up Bookshop on the 8Th April at the Royal Albion Hotel.
